“Been wanting to try this place and I’m sure glad I did. If you’re in the mood for some good home cooked soul food this is your place. The smothered pork chops were great and their ribs are tender with a little Asian flare. Fried cabbage was good, not too greasy but just right.”

“Food was really good and what I needed after the places near beach. Tasty and the presentation was good. Had the catfish and shrimp plate. Sides were fries and collard greens. Best catfish in a while and collards were absolute amazing. Price was good. Others had meatloaf, fried pork chop, salisbury steak, mashed potatoes, collards and sweet potato soufflé. They ate it all and would not share. Looked very good! Service was really good. Walked in near closing and all folks never rushed us.”

“Rebekah was our server on our first visit after a long day at the beach. We ordered the beef gravy, with mashed potatoes, hush puppies and bacon cabbage. Nothing was left. Also ordered the candied yams, cornbread dressing, baked Mac and cheese, and fried green tomatoes. Nothing was bad. These pictures were taken mid meal unfortunately we couldn't wait to eat. Portions are hefty so be prepared.”

“Our food was absolutely delicious! We had the fried pork chops, fried chicken, ,Mac and cheese, cornbread dressing and bacon fried cabbage. The owner came by and talked to us and you could really see the passion he had for his restaurant.”

“We ate lunch at Hattie's today and are already looking forward to going back soon! We ate delicious fried catfish with hushpuppies, ocra and mac and cheese; and grilled chicken with cornbread, red beans and rice, and bacon fried cabbage. Everything was served piping hot and really delicious!! Very enjoyable! Next time we'll save room to try some of the amazing looking house-made cakes and desserts, too.”

“Met my brother here for lunch today. I had the grilled chicken sandwich, and it was one of the best I’ve had anywhere. The baked Mac and cheese was also very delicious. My brother had the catfish, fried cabbage, and fried okra. All of his was excellent as well. Both the Chef and Manager came to our table, and asked how everything was. We will be back.”

“I had the Shrimp PoBoy and the slaw was amazing! If you like a creamy yet tangy flavor, go ahead and get the Po Boy or ask for it on the side! My husband had the hamburger and he loved it. The pattie they used had a different flavor! 10/10 recommend!”

“Some of the best soul food I have ever had, and I've had a lot over the years. I had the catfish with carrot souffle and greens and my wife had the catfish and shrimp platter. Everything was well seasoned and so fresh. Rebecca, our waitress, was so friendly and patient as we looked over the menu. The dining room is clean and very spacious, with a karaoke set up at the end, for Friday Karaoke nights. They also serve To Go homemade deserts (cakes/pies) like Chocolate Oreo cake which we took home. It was moist and tasty!”

“Definitely add this to your list of places to eat... We had the daily specials and it was delicious. True home cooking with flavor. You won't find much better in the area. We had the shrimp basket and pork chop sandwich. I was surprised at the flavor and quality. Prior Reviews said to make sure you try the Mac and cheese and it was just as good as described. Also we had the bacon cabbage and that was my favorite. We will definitely go again to try other entrees.”

“My husband and I stopped by here for lunch he got the wings and I got the cheeseburger both were delicious and my husband loved the wing sauce. I believe our waitress name was Rebekah not sure if I spelled that correctly but either way she was great and very sweet. We will definitely be back 😊”

Our family had a kid cheeseburger, a smash burger, the buffalo wings, a catfish/shrimp platter, and a plate of sides (fries, red beans, squash casserole, greens, and Mac & Cheese) Everything was excellent. The highlights were the wings, mac&cheese and the red beans. The service was also excellent. Everything was made from scratch, and it showed. Nothing frozen being trotted out here. Prices are very reasonable. We’ll be back!”
